Coach’s Gift Banquet

The Home Court Coach’s Gift Banquet is Home Court’s annual celebration and fundraiser for our Coaching Development and Scholarship Funds. Thanks to a generous Matching Gift Pledge, every dollar raised will be matched and we are hoping to once again raise $200,000. This amount ensures as many families as possible can enjoy the unique experience of a Home Court program.

The Giver Gets

Home Court’s biggest asset has always been the Home court Coaches who have committed themselves to creating a high performance environment for our younger participants. Like anything of substance however, those who give are often the ones who receive the most. The same skills and characteristics that our coaches exhibit on a daily basis are the same characteristics of successful students and community leaders.

A portion of the proceeds raised will go towards our Coaching Development Fund, which helps offset operating expenses in order to keep programs as affordable as possible and ensuring as many families as possible can enjoy the unique experience of a Home Court program.

“We struggle for basic family needs. Our limited budget has never afforded us the luxury of enrolling our son in structured sports program. As a result, he does not have the fundamental sports skills or game knowledge of most boys his age. This disparity has begun to have a negative impact on his self-esteem and self-confidence. He has loved every day of camp. Each drill, scrimmage, and personal growth activity has increased his self-confidence. After the first day at camp, the first thing he said to me is, ‘I didn’t know I could play basketball SO WELL.’ Many coaches are able to embrace the most highly skilled player. I thank you because you made my son—certainly NOT the most highly skilled athlete—feel like a valuable team player.” —Dawn R.
