WINTER SKILLS - 2020

As the weather turns, keep building skills and confidence in a positive, productive and safe environment. Kids can get some much needed exercise and parents can get some free time. While we will have to make some necessary changes to our programs to follow Federal, State and local guidelines, Home Court will continue to provide the positive and productive exprerience our participants have grown accustomed to. Our first priority will be the safety of our coaches, participants and families. You can find more information on our new safety guidelines HERE.

The Winter Skills program will help players improve their skills and confidence through positive coaching, personal attention, specific instruction, drill repetition and most importantly FUN. Our goal will continue to be to make sure our participants leave Home Court will sweaty brows and smiling faces and a desire to come back soon.

The six week Winter Skills program includes.

  • Grade specific sessions to ensure players are appropriately challenged by the instruction (players will be grouped by grade, gender and ability as much as possible in each session).

  • Coaches will also demonstrate the importance of focus, hustle and support in achieving success on and off the court.

  • Player to coach ratio of 5 to 1 or less.

  • Limited enrollment to maximize the opportunity for personal attention and drill repetition (a maximum of 5 players per group with no more than 4 groups in the gym).

  • Well organized, fast-paced sessions that keep players moving and engaged through a variety of drills, activities and competitions.

  • Emphasis on fundamental skill development (shooting, ball handling, scoring moves, defensive footwork, etc.)

  • Session plans that balance instruction with individual competitions to make sure hard work & fun go hand in hand

In accordance with State and County regulations, participants and coaches will be wearing face coverings at all times while in the gym. At this time, parents are not allowed to stay and watch sessions. Social distancing guidelines may allow for scrimmaging or competitive drills during the program. We will be closely monitoring the King County positive cases per 100,000 and positivity rate stats to ensure we are staying within State & County Guidelines.

Classes are offered at varying times Monday through Thursday as well as Saturday. Participants register for a specific day and time (participants can register for more than one day a week if they would like) and attend each session for the next 6 weeks at that specific time. Tuition is $180.
